I’ve been thinking a lot about my hyper-ness lately.
My hyper activity, my hyper sexuality, my hyper focus.
For most of my life I experienced those as something I needed to manage or outrun.. like if I didn’t stay ahead of them, they would run me. But I’m starting to realize it’s not about taming any of it. It’s about harnessing it. I don’t actually want less intensity. I want integrated intensity. Jupiter doesn’t shrink.. she expands with intention.
What’s changing is the pace. I’m walking through things now that once felt impossible, but I’m doing it at a heart-centered rhythm instead of a survival sprint. I let there be a build up. I let there be a peak. I let there be a come down. I give myself time to metabolize what just happened instead of launching straight into the next high, next idea, next connection. There’s shaking. There’s crying. There’s laughing. There’s moving my body because it wants to move. I’m eating differently. Resting differently. (Still working on relaxing.. let’s be real.)
And what’s wild is that conserving energy this way.. actually completing cycles instead of living on adrenaline, is opening the deepest capacity I’ve ever felt to live my values. Not perform them. Not preach them. Live them. Slower. Softer.
I’m not less intense. I’m just learning my own gravity.
Turns out expansion feels a lot better when you’re not exploding.
