Just Between Us (Entry Six) “Unlearning in the Kitchen”
Dismantling unconscious ableism is what I’ll be known for in my family ancestry. Not the loudest one at the table, not the one who keeps the peace, but the one who looks around and says, hey, this doesn’t feel fair. Let’s start again.
When I say “just between us,” what I really mean is it’s for those who want to know. The curious, the soft rebels, the ones who see systems in soup spoons and healing in the smallest gestures. It’s not secretive, it’s sacred. It’s an open invitation to come sit at the kitchen table as yourself. No masks. No pretending your comfort matters more than my truth.
We’ll talk about the things people avoid: access, intimacy, the kind of liberation that starts in the body. We’ll talk about what it means to love when your world has been built without you in mind. We’ll unlearn together.
It’s a “more the merrier” situation, but only if you’re ready to come honest. Ready to listen. Ready to feel the shift in your bones when you realize empathy isn’t charity.. it’s connection.
So pull up a chair. Bring your contradictions.
I’ll bring the tea and my sapphic heart.. open, intentional & a little mischievous.
Because it’s not just between us. It’s for everyone brave enough to come closer.
